Every autumn we had a reading festival where drama performances are shown and distinguished writer are invited.

What qualities do you think heroes should have? To me, heroes are brave and helpful. They’re people you respect of. My heroes are the volunteers who go to the earthquake-hit areas last week. The disaster caused great damages to the areas. Therefore, the volunteers’ efforts relieved the victims’ suffering. They helped the victims by giving themselves food, water and shelter. They were also many doctors and nurses who volunteered help the wounded. The rescue work turned out dangerously, but no one showed fear nor gave up rescue the unfortunate people. Last Sunday, while eat in a restaurant, I noticed a bowl full of dumplings on the table next to mine. They must have left by someone. Just then, an old man came in. Recently I've done a survey in our class on my classmates think of ads. The majority of my classmate take a positive attitude to ads in that ads do bring us convenient. Other students argue that being largely exposing to ads may lead to the sameness ranging from clothes, shelters to transportation

From my point of the view, I prefer the former opinion to the latter for the following reasons. The first reason is rooted in the fact that there was various ads so that people have various choices. Secondly, with ads, that would be difficult to get across a product's basic message. However, ads, instead of making people seem to be the same, contributes greatly to people's better life.

There are many persons who help me a lot, among whom are my English teacher, Miss Liu. I still remember being asked in his class, but I fail to answer the question.
